The Day after the Election

As of the writing of this post, a winner has not yet been declared. As of 11/04/2020 3:30 CST the election is still undecided. However, based on current leads as reported by the AP, if Biden can secure the win in Nevada and Michigan, Biden will win the Presidency with 270 electoral votes. 270 is the minimum amount of votes needed to win the election.

Biden still has the chance to take the lead in a few other states. The closest of which are Georgia and North Carolina, where Biden needs to pick up less than 80,000 votes to secure the win in each state. Both states still have about 5% of the expected vote uncounted, so Biden still has a chance. If he wins just 1 of those states he will win the election without a doubt with either 285 or 286, but if he wins both, Biden will have 301 electoral votes.

Biden is down by 383,000 votes in Pennsylvania with about 16% of the vote still uncounted. While it is possible that Biden will win, a Trump victory in the Keystone State is not unreasonable. If it goes to Biden, he could get a minimum of 290 and a maximum of 331 electoral votes.

At this point the election is still undecided.Either Candidate could win. But it looks like Biden has a higher chance, but it is too close to call.
