I am a Christian for Biden

For any Christian reading my Blog and are torn on who to vote for, I have a suggestion.

As I Christian myself, I read the Bible and attempt to live according to Christian moral and values. Those morals and values are not reflective in the Trump-Pence ticket. Trump I don't think knows anything about Christianity and Pence only cares about the Law and punishing those who disobey. He ignores the Gospel, he ignores Forgiveness, he ignores the Forgiveness of Sins, he ignores Salvation, he ignores all aspect of Christianity that do not give himself and fellow Republicans power. There is Biblical and non-Biblical (Roman sources, archeology, etc.) that show some of the earliest socialist and communist communities where Christian Communities.

As a Christian I can only support politicians who not only live according to Christian values and morals, but also treat others according to those values. What good is it living your own life as a Christian, focused solely on your salvation? What good is it being a Christian when you use Christianity for your own power? What good is being a Christian when you ignore those Jesus would have paid attention and given care to: the common people, the sick, the poor, etc.

Democrats may support Gay Marriage and Abortion, but the thing is they will not force a straight person into a gay marriage, nor will they force a women to get an abortion if she does not want it. My own Democratic Senator is personally pro-life as am I, but both of us do hold the policy belief that the government should not dictate abortion, in other words pro-choice. Republicans love to frame abortion as a moral fight, while Democrats frame it as a question of government responsibility. Its no wonder the fight is still ongoing.

But getting back to the main point. As a Christian I cannot in good conscious support Trump and Pence. As a Christian I in good conscious support Biden and Harris.

To all Christians still uncertain after my argument, I suggest you give the Gospel according to St. Matthew, the Gospel according to St. Mark, the Gospel according to St. Luke, and the Gospel according to St. John a read and give the Acts of the Apostles a read as well. You may notice a social justice trend, especially when the teaching is about interactions with others; it is also present in the Old testament as well.
